trick-or-treating.
- Give older
children a set time to return home.
- Children
under 8 years of age should be
accompanied by an adult.

traffic safety rules such as crossing at
the corner, obeying all traffic signs,
and looking both ways before crossing the

children not to eat collected goodies
until they are inspected by an adult.
|
|
| COSTUMES |
- Make sure
costumes are short enough to avoid falls.
- Avoid
oversized or high-heeled shoes that make
it easy for your child to trip.
- Use face
paint instead of masks that can block
your child's vision or make it hard for
him or her to hear.
- Decorate your
child's costume with reflective tape so
that cars can see him or her.
- Make sure
your child has a flashlight.
|
|
| YOUR HOME |

obstacles from yard, porch or sidewalk to
prevent falls.
